WAYCROSS — Pierce County Middle School’s swim teams hosted their first meet of the year, a six-team event, here at the YMCA.
The Lady Bears placed fourth with the Bears notching a third-place showing in the October 28 meet.
Pierce Middle’s best finish was placing fifth in four events.
The Lady Bears’ 200-yard free style relay team of Lily Gray Wright, Tenley White, Grayson Harris and Malia White recorded a time of 2:33.89.
The 400-yard free style relay team of Lyla Brooker, Sophia Cochran, Lakota Davis and Ella Jones (no time reported) was also fifth.
The Bears’ Hutson Streat posted the best individual finish in the 50-yard free style with a time of 33.3 seconds. The 400-yard free style relay team (no time reported) of Dow Walker, Jaxon Coates, Cooper Davis and Streat was also fifth.
PCMS will next swim Saturday November 9 in Baxley.
