The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has opened a mobile disaster recovery center in Waycross.
The center will be open from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. now through Saturday, Nov. 2 at 305 Oak Street, Waycross.
A disaster recovery center is also open at the Appling County Agricultural Center, 2761 Blackshear Highway, Baxley.
Impacted homeowners and renters from Hurricane Debby or Helene can visit ANY of the centers listed.
Additional centers are open in Chatham, Coffee, Irwin, Lowndes, McDuffie, Richmond, Telfair, Toombs, Washington and Ware Counties.
Pierce County residents are eligible for assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The county has been included in the federal disaster declaration for Hurricane Helene.

Callers need to have their address with zip code, condition of home, insurance information, social security number, phone number and mailing address or email address to receive written or electronic information.
Residents who apply for assistance will be given a FEMA registration number. This number will need to be saved for all interactions with FEMA.
Disaster assistance for those who qualify is available by direct deposit. An account and routing number will need to be provided.
