The Pierce County Planning Commission discuss and/or voted on the following during their regular monthly meeting Monday, October 14.
Oak Ridge Trail Rezoning: The planning commission approved recommending rezoning 37.99 acres on Oak Ridge Trail, Blackshear from single family residential to agriculture/forestry. The owner is planning on building fourhomes on the property for his family and may have some animals on the property. One resident asked about plans for the property, but did not speak in opposition to the request. The item will be forwarded to the county commission for final approval.
Next meeting: The planning commission will hold its next meeting at 10:30 am. Monday, Nov. 11 at the courthouse annex on Nichols Street.
