Douglas Edwin Cannon, 66, of Blackshear, passed away early Thursday morning, October 10, 2024, at his residence following an extended illness.
Born July 27, 1958, in Boston, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Richard B. Cannon and Nancy Woodard Cannon Boyd. He lived in Washington D.C. and Maryland for a few years before moving to Pierce County in the mid-1980s.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Lucinda Cannon and Laura MacDermid.
Survivors include his two daughters, Jennifer Hale (husband Tyler) and Nina Murray (husband Ron), both of Blackshear; a niece, Drew Schmehl, Jacksonville, FL and several other friends and relatives.
Memorialization was by cremation.
