Gunter
Jacqueline Collie Gunter, 69, of Waycross, passed away early Monday morning, October 7, 2024, at Baptist Village Nursing Home in Waycross.
Born in Waycross December 30, 1953, she lived in Biloxi, MS for many years before returning to Waycross in 1993. She was a homemaker. She was an avid reader and loved spending time with her family. She was of the Church of God faith.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jackson Allen and Lois Pauline Meeks Gunter. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Vickie Gunter Staley and a sister-in-law, Brenda Gunter.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle Walker, Waycross; her son, Michael Morales, Jacksonville, FL; her sister, Teresa (Randy) Dixon, Blackshear; two brothers, Glenn Gunter and Keith Gunter, both of Waycross; three grandchildren, Olivia McConney, Emily Carver and Curtis Morales; a great-grandchild, Lilith Carver and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Justin Gambrell officiating.
The family will receive friends at the chapel immediately following the service.
Interment will follow in the Blackshear Cemetery.
