PCHS (22-12) wrapped its 2024 campaign dropping two of three matches in the final week including the Area 3 championship match to Savannah Arts Academy Saturday.

The Lady Bears, seeded ninth in the 32-team field, hosted 24th-seed Hart County (ranked 10th) Tuesday in a first round pairing in a best-of-five format. The winner advances to play the winner of eighth-seed East Jackson (ranked sixth) and 25th-seed KIPP Collegiate.

Pierce County is in the same eight-team quadrant as top-ranked and top-seed Morgan County and No. 7 Sonoraville (seeded 17th). Eighth-ranked Appling County, the 19th-seed, travels to face 14th-seed Pike County. The winner faces the survivor of third-seed Columbus (ranked fifth) and 30thseed Carver-Columbus.

Unranked Savannah Arts, the second-seed, will host Drew Charter and meet the winner of 15th-seed Crisp County and 18th-seed Rockmart.
