Second round matches will be held Saturday, October 19 at the highest seeds with the quarterfinals scheduled for Tuesday, October 22.
PCHS’s final three matches were all on the road. Pierce County fell 2-1 Tuesday, October 8 at Glynn Academy losing 25-15, 26-28, 15-9. A Thursday afternoon match against Wayne County was canceled.
The Lady Bears traveled Saturday (October 12) to Savannah for the Area 3 tournament. PCHS knocked off Appling County in the semifinals (no score posted) before falling to host Savannah Arts Academy 25-9, 25-11, 25-20 in the championship match.
Pierce County closed the season 5-10 with nine of the losses to teams in higher classifications.
