Davis Byrd of Blackshear is among the more than 1,200 cadets and students recognized for their academic achievements during the spring 2024 semester at The Citadel in Charleston, SC.
The dean’s list is a recognition given to cadets and students who are registered for 12 or more semester hours and whose grade point average is 3.20 or higher, with no grade of I (Incomplete) and no grade below C for work in a semester.
Cadets who are named to the dean's list receive a medal, which is worn on their uniform during the semester following their academic achievement.

Sandra Maignan of Blackshear has been named to Southern New Hampshire University’s (SNHU) Summer 2024 President’s List.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum gradepoint average of 3.70 and above for the reporting term are named to the President’s List.
Sarah Rentz of Blackshear has been named to SNHU’s Summer 2024 Dean's List.
Full-time undergraduate students who have earned a minimum gradepoint average of 3.50 to 3.699 for the reporting term are named to the Dean's List.
Georgia State University in Atlanta Channel Harris of Blackshear earned Georgia State University in Atlanta’s Global Scholar Distinction during summer 2024, recognizing the development of the skills, knowledge and awareness that enhance the ability to succeed in a global environment.
Students who take five or more designated courses across the university, earn a grade of “B” or better and keep an institutional grade-point average of 3.0 or higher at the time of graduation are recognized as Global Scholars.
Students earning the Global Scholar Distinction receive an official notice from Georgia State, a digital badge, and a cord at graduation.
