We made it through Helene! I am sorry I missed you last week, but the storm was bad. Helene was a storm none of us will ever forget. But there is much to be thankful for. Our lives were spared. We still have our homes to live in. We are blessed. ***** We do want to pause and honor the memory of Assistant Fire Chief Leon Davis and thank him for his service to our community. Love and prayers to his family.
***** Keep an eye on the weather for Hurricane Milton this week. I pray the Lord will cause the storm to weaken. ***** We also want to thank all of you who came out Sunday, October 6, to the Lee Street Resource Center Gathering for the Community. In this time of hardship, we needed each other. Mr. Melvin Johnson and all the pastors helped out. We had plenty of good food and good fellowship. We will be coming together more in the future.
***** Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church’s planned prayer breakfast for this Sunday, Oct. 12, has been canceled. ***** The Session Hill Community Center is proud to announce that it has completed its first round of renovations at the center and has now begun its second round of renovations to the recreational area.
