The Exchange Club of Blackshear was honored to host the Teacher of the Year (TOTY) luncheon for the Pierce County School System at their recent meeting. Superintendent Dara Bennett along with each school’s principal was in attendance to celebrate these outstanding educators. Each principal was asked to share what makes their teacher so special, highlighting their dedication, unique contributions and positive impact they have on the students and their school. It was a proud moment for the Exchange Club of Blackshear to celebrate the achievements of these teachers and their contributions in shaping the future of Pierce County. Each Teacher of the Year and the District Winner, Elizabeth Slusher, was presented a check in recognition of their dedication to the community. Additionally, each principal was presented an American flag for their school by Exchange Club Chair Stephen James.
