Pierce County High School will host its 18th annual Sound of Silver Invitational Saturday, October 5.

The full day event will take place at Bear Stadium. A total of 18 different bands from throughout the south are expected to participate in the festival. The festival will begin at 10 a.m. and will conclude with an awards ceremony about 8 p.m. Gates will open at 9 a.m.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for 18 and under. All proceeds will support the Sound of Silver.

Spectators are welcome to come out and enjoy this full day, family outing with fantastic music and the most remarkable performances provided by some the greatest high school marching bands competing to be the “best of the best”. Concessions will be available.

There will be a special Exhibition performance by the Sound of Silver Marching Band to close out the invitational.

“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The Sound of Silver and its boosters would like to thank all of the companies and organizations that offer support,” said Angie Carter, chairperson of the Sound of Silver Booster Club. “Without their hospitality and support, our 501(c)(3) charity would not be able to host the family fun event.”
