Earlier this year, all 4th grade students received a “golden ticket” to read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl. On September 6, all the learning activities were Wonka-themed. Students wrote about a visit to the fictional chocolate factory, then they were challenged to create an elevator to lift “everlasting gobstoppers”. Finally, the fourth graders watched Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and found differences between the movie and the book. It was a delicious day!
