Pierce County’s secondranked Lady Bears volleyball team suffered consecutive losses for the first time this year falling in a three-team match at Camden County High School.
PCHS (19-5) was swept by the Class 6A host Lady Wildkittens 25-20, 25-20 and Class 6A Valdosta 25-12, 25-23 giving the Lady Bears three losses in their last five matches.
In the matchup with Camden County, Ava Doss led the team with five assists. She tied for second in digs with six.
Reagan Smith recorded four assists and tied Doss with six digs. Kelsey Fuentes had an assist and a team-high seven digs.
Hannah Fandrich finished with a dig, one kill and one block. Isabella Marx recorded a team-high three kills. Ansleigh Cyr had one kill.
PCHS traveled Tuesday, September 17 to Class 6A Lowndes High School to face the host Lady Vikings and have a rematch with Valdosta.
The Lady Bears go to Region 3 foe Appling County Thursday, September 19 to square off with the ninth-ranked Lady Pirates and Class 5A Statesboro Lady Blue Devils.
A match on St. Simons Island is scheduled for Monday, September 23 against Frederica Academy with a Thursday, September 26 date set at Class 5A Glynn Academy.
