Gathering of Warriors’ 2024 Men of Valor and Women of Distinction

The Gates “The Gathering Place” of Blackshear recently hosted the Gathering of Warriors International Southeast Georgia Region Fellowship Conference. The highlight of this gathering was to honor Men of Valor and Phenomenal Women of Distinction of Pierce, Ware and Wayne Counties.

“Those honored have made great contributions and given unselfish service to our community, neighborhood, youth, church, music industry, education and government,” said Dr. De’borah Brown of the Gates. “We recognize their rich contributions, selfless dedication, significant impact and untiring faithfulness to family, community, church, education, music, industry and government.”

The presentations to the men recognized were made by Apostle Anthony Hatcher, Apostle Ty Lupoe, and the Executive Board of Outstanding Men of Valor and Distinction. The six men honored were: Theodore Mackey, Jr. accepted the award on behalf of his father, Councilman Theodore Mackey. Councilman Mackey represents District 4 on the Blackshear City Council and is Chairman Deacon of Piney Grove MBC.

Pastor Terrell Reynolds, Pierce County Board of Elections Member, President of the Pierce County Ministerial Alliance and Pastor of Kingdom Faith Church in Blackshear.

Issac Moses of Blackshear, Director of Black History Month and MLK Scholarship and Parade Festivities.

Malachi Christopher of Waycross, Music Director Extraordinaire and producer, attended Morris Brown College where he was in the hit movie Drumline. He is presently general manager of stellar nominated Praise Radio and Music Director Family Worship Center, Powerhouse of Faith Waycross.

Melvin Johnson, executive director of Pierce County Lee Street Resource Center, President of Concern Citizens Blackshear, Consolidated Mens Club and Lee Street Music Academy.

Tyrone Harris of Tyco Construction and Industrial Services, Inc. Tyco Construction is a licensed, insured, full service general contractor and construction company.

The presentations to the women recognized were made by Dr. De'borah Brown, Debra J. Toomer of WMBM 1490 AM Newbirth Broadcasting Network Ladies Live, Kingdom Girls on Fire Executive Board Prophetess Katissa Lupoe, and Apostle Debora West.

“We are delighted to recognize those who have been chosen as The Kingdom Girl 2024 Phenomenal Women of Distinction Award,” said Dr. Brown. “We have noted that you are an extraordinary individual who has made a significant impact on our community. You have demonstrated exceptional leadership qualities, you are a person of vision, standards of ethical conduct, integrity, and civic mindedness. You have truly inspired others to be a better version of themselves. We acknowledge your hard work, dedication, and continuous commitment to perpetuate change in the quality of life for the people that are around you.”

The eight women honored were: Bertie Allen,

community columnist and Evangelism Director of Kingdom Faith Church Blackshear.

Dr. Anita Harris, Director of Special Programs/Testing for Pierce County Board of Education, Owner/CEO of AT Elite Developers and Williams Trucking, member of the Waycross Alumnae chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority served as treasurer, policies and procedures chair, 2011 Grand Marshal in Pierce County MLK Parade, runner-up Mom Prom Pageant, fundraising for Bethesda Recovery Waycross, member of Upper Room Outreach Ministries where she served as secretary, Praise Team, Youth Director.

Minister Patty Collins owner and CEO at Lost and Found Recovery and Face to Face Recovery in Jesup. Collins facilitates over 15 Refuge homes in Wayne County for the lost, the least and left out where she nurtures and resuscitate them back to life. Collins was also honored by her family and church family of Cornerstone Pentecostal United Church, Jesup.

Apostle Keresa Wiseman, Founder and Visionary of Advancement Ministries- Apostolic House of Prayer in Waycross. She hosts Kingdom Roar a Clubhouse platform Saturday mornings at 7am, She is an Entrepreneur, mentor. Apostle Wiseman has a vision to build kingdom marriages, impact communities by building shelters, an Academy and Resource Centers.

Minister Lakeshia Roberts, coordinator at Hazzard Hill Early Head Start Program with Action Impact, Inc, She earned her masters degree in post secondary Education from Troy University, board certified Christian counselor, Sunday school teacher and praise team leader at Evergreen Church, Bristol. She is a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Minister Tiffany McCaster of Wayne County serves as office receptionist for the school board of Hinesville, member of Warfare Prayer Movement, member and director of worship and dance at The Gates, Blackshear, creative arts and dance instructor at Pierce County Lee Street Music Academy and After school program Evangelist Jacqueline Wallace serves as secretary for the following organizations: Concerned Citizens of Blackshear Democratic Party, Blackshear Session Hill Senior Citizen Center, coordinator of the Lee Street Music Academy Apostle Stefanee Delores Carr, author of two bestselling books, 'Warriors on the Frontline',' Living by the Word'. She earned a doctorate degree from Oral Roberts University, hostess on 90.5 WTLD LORDS Day Radio a show called 'Don't Worry, Let's Pray' at 5 p.m. each Thursday, board certified Christian counselor of the State of Georgia, 2025 Mom Prom Contestant for the House of Bethesda Recovery, Fluker Funeral Home Office Manager, Founder & Pastor of Gods Believer Walk of Faith in Woodbine.
