Homecoming activities planned

Homecoming week is almost here.

Festivities will be held Sept. 9-13. The parade will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, September 9.

PCHS homecoming is set for Friday, September 13. The Bears will face off against New Hampstead of Savannah. The culmination of homecoming week will be the crowning of the queen at halftime.

The annual homecoming dance will be held after the game in the PCHS Courtyard.

Finalists for the homecoming court include seniors Alexa Alvarez, Chloe Barber, Ruthie Boatright, Bella Delaney, Zoie Hendry, Jenna Herrin, Mary Emma Moore, Gracie Nimmer, Beyonce Sanchez, Addi Strickland, Ava Strickland and Ansley Tippins. Members of the junior court are Ava Doss, Lilah Hall, Claire Murray, Danica Salas, Mylee Simmons and Mollie Williams.

The parade will start at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Emmanuel Baptist Church on W. Carter Ave. and conclude at the Board of Education office on Main Street.

The theme for this year’s parade and homecoming festivities is “The Greatest Show on Earth”.

Parade entry forms are available by emailing [email protected] or by picking one up at the office at PCHS.

There is no cost to enter the parade but entry forms are required to participate in the parade. Entry forms are due by noon tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 5.

A number of activities are planned for the week at PCHS.

Dress up days include color war Monday, anything but a backpack Tuesday, soccer mom and barbecue dad Wednesday, rhyme without reason Thursday and our spirit can’t be tamed Friday.
