Kathryn Joyner Greene, 80, former greeter at Pearson-Dial Funeral Home, is remembered this week for her service to her community.
Greene passed away early Monday morning, August 26, 2024, at Appling Healthcare in Baxley under the care of Comfort Care Hospice.
Greene had most recently been stationed at the front door of Pearson-Dial as a greeter.
She had also worked as a secretary for many local attorneys and for the late Judge Ben Smith.
Greene was active at Blackshear First Baptist Church and with the Pierce County Food Pantry and local disaster relief efforts.
She loved her family and enjoyed yard work and bird watching.
A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, August 30, from the Pearson-Dial Funeral Home Chapel.
