Pierce County Middle School dropped a pair of Southeast Georgia Middle School Athletic Conference softball matchups losing on the road and at home.
The Lady Bears fell 10-2 Monday, August 26 in five innings via the “mercy rule” to homestanding Long County Middle School in Ludowici.
Visiting Wayne County Middle School’s consolidated softball program posted a wild 14-13 victory Thursday, August 29.

LUDOWICI — The Lady Wildcats spotted PCMS a 1-0 lead before scoring 10 of the final 11 runs to end the game early.
The Lady Bears scored a two-out run in the first inning with Cadence Coldren (2-for-2) ripping a two-out triple and scoring.
PCMS scored in the fourth to get to within 4-2 with Coldren lining a leadoff single, stealing second and scoring on a single by Miranda Howard (1-for-2).
The Lady Wildcats followed with a five-run fourth and ended the game with a run in the bottom of the fifth.
Wayne Middle ........14 Lady Bears .............13 BEARVILLE — The Lady Yellow Jackets scored at least one run in every inning including two in the seventh to break a 12-all tie in clipping Pierce Middle.
The Lady Bears were undone by eight errors after outhitting Wayne County 14-9. PCMS led 118 through the first four innings.
