Red Cross blood drives
The American Red Cross has scheduled the following blood drives in Pierce County: September 10, 1-6 p.m. at the Southeast Georgia Regional Agricultural Center Building (formerly the NFC Building), 705 College Avenue, Blackshear.
AmVets to meet
The C.C. Stephens AmVets Post 621 will meet Saturday, Sept. 14, at the post on Ossie Davis Parkway in Waycross. AmVets is open to retired veterans in the area. The meeting will be at 9 a.m. The new AmVet Riders Chapter will meet at 10 a.m. and the ladies auxiliary group will meet at 11 a.m. The chapter meets on the second Saturday of each month.
