Hello, We are in September waiting for the cool weather to get here. It has been a hot summer. Many things have happened in the month of August. We lost family members and friends, and there has been sickness in the family.

A celebration of life service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, from the Church of Christ Written in Heaven, 617 Blackwell Street, Waycross.
Harrington Funeral Services of Waycross was in charge of arrangements. ***** Session Hill Community will have a dinner sale at Advance Auto Parts on the corner of U.S. Highway 84 and Ware Street in Blackshear at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 7. Chicken and fish, baked beans, potato salad and coleslaw will be featured. Requested donation is $13. Guests are asked to contribute to the “Back to School Give Away”.
