South Georgia Regional Commission meeting A meeting of the Southern Georgia Regional Commission Council is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, August 22. The meeting will be held at the SGRC Waycross Office located at 1725 S. Georgia Parkway W., Waycross. Meeting is open to the public.
Red Cross blood drives
The American Red Cross has scheduled the following blood drives in Pierce County: September 10, 1-6 p.m. at the Southeast Georgia Regional Agricultural Center Building (formerly the NFC Building), 705 College Avenue, Blackshear.
AmVets to meet
The C.C. Stephens Amvets Post 621 will meet the second Saturday of each month at the post on Ossie Davis Parkway in Waycross. Amvets is open to retired veterans in the area.
