Franklin Rozier Jr., former state court judge and former county attorney, recently attended the Republican National Convention as a delegate.
Several residents reported seeing Rozier on television during the convention, which was held July 15-18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
“We in the Georgia delegation were right next to the press room, so that is the reason we were on television,” he said.
Rozier said he enjoyed the event. “There was a wonderful spirit at the convention,” he said. “The people of Milwaukee were wonderful hosts.”
During the week-long meeting, the convention nominated Former President Donald Trump and Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as their presidential ticket.
Rozier has long been active in Republican politics locally.
In addition to serving as state court judge and as county attorney, Rozier has a private law practice on Main Street in Blackshear.
