Foreman chosen for GA education policy fellowship

Foreman

Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs for Coastal Pines Technical College, Amanda Morris Foreman of Blackshear was recently named as one of 24 new fellows for the 17th cohort of the Georgia Education Policy Fellowship Program (EPFP) through the Georgia Partnership for Excellence in Education.

The EPFP is a national professional development program sponsored by the Institute for Educational Leadership that provides potential leaders with the knowledge and networks to advance the core issues of education policy.

Foreman and 23 other participants will commit to an intensive nine month professional development experience concentrated on three program strands: public policy, leadership, and professional networking. They will attend monthly academic conferences to deepen their knowledge of education policy but remain in their full-time positions and use their work environment as context for examining important leadership and policy issues in Georgia.

Foreman’s recent distinction will help to elevate Coastal Pines as a leader in educational policy in the state of Georgia. Coastal Pines collectively offered congratulations to Foreman!
