Annual celebration features no-cost community resources through the Waycross Opportunity Center
Waycross, GA- Goodwill Southeast Georgia and the Waycross Opportunity Center are excited to celebrate Goodwill Week May 5-11! This is an annual celebration to remind the community of the no-cost educational and training resources available through Goodwill. We are more than a thrift store! Since 1965, Goodwill Southeast Georgia has helped people find jobs, support their families, and feel the satisfaction that comes from stable employment. We invite you to be curious and get to know us a little better during Goodwill Week.
No matter what an individual is experiencing, when someone walks into a Goodwill Opportunity Center, we aim to help them learn new skills and build a pathway to a sustainable career. Goodwill provides career navigation, job training, employment placement and support services at no cost to job seekers. These services are available year-round, but our five regional Opportunity Centers are hosting a special series of events to celebrate Goodwill Week.
Waycross Opportunity Center Goodwill Week Events: Monday, May 6- Resource Fair at C.C. McCray Auditorium (865 Pendleton St.), 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Hosting a variety of resources showcasing the free tools and services available in the area, including the Waycross Opportunity Center (2101 Memorial Drive, Waycross)In partnership with the City of Waycross.Wednesday, May 8: All-Site Hiring Event, all Goodwill Southeast Georgia locations, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Hiring for 65+ openings including store management, E-Commerce Lister/Shipper, Manufacturing Associates, Donation Warehouse Associate, Apparel Processing Technician and more!
