Johnny David Wilson, Sr.

WAYCROSS — Johnny David Wilson, Sr., 66, of Waycross, died Tuesday evening, February 7, 2023 at his residence after an extended illness. Wilson was born in Millwood to the late Henry Clay Wilson and Neolla Bennett Wilson. He had made Waycross his home for his entire life. Wilson worked for Gilman Building Products in Blackshear and attended Waresboro Baptist Church. He loved to fish. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Wilson; and one sister, Jeanette Wilson Davis. Wilson is survived by two sons, Jonathan Eric Wilson (Skylar) of Waycross and Johnny David Wilson, Jr., (Marisal) of Blackshear; three grandchildren, Jacy Marie Wilson, Jaylee Leann Flynn and Mason David Wilson; two sisters, Valerie Baker (Dale) of Blackshear, Janice Thomas of Blackshear; five brothers, Jerry Wilson (Krissy) of Blackshear, Jerrell Wilson of Blackshear, J.C. Wilson (Diane) of Blackshear, Jimmy Ray Wilson (Missy) of Blackshear, and Anthony Foster of Waycross; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service was held Sunday, February 12, 2023 in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Sympathy may be expressed by signing online at www.milesodumfuneralhome.com.
