Ronald Lee ‘Ronnie’ Spradley

HOBOKEN — Mr. Ronald Lee “Ronnie” Spradley, 75, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2023, at his residence in Hoboken following an extended illness.

He was born in Folkston to the late Lee Spradley and Beulah Knowles Spradley. He was a mechanic for many years having owned and operated Ronnie Spradley Radiator & Air Conditioning Services. He also was a former race car driver in the community.

Ronnie was a member of Transformation Church in Waycross. He was an active member of Gideons International. He truly loved to talk about Jesus and loved his family.

In addition to his parents he also was preceded in death by a daughter, Terra Nicole Spradley; a great grandson, Fischer Howard; two brothers, Donnie Spradley and Johnny Spradley; two sisters, Susie Rowe and Leslie Jankowski; a son-in-law, Robin Turner; and his father-in-law, E.K. Pearson, Sr.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Pearson Spradley of Hoboken; four children, Lisa Spradley Fales (Larry) of Axson, Mark Lee Spradley (Elizabeth) of Axson, Janet Bennett (Ed) of Homerville, and Tamra Spradley Turner of Waycross; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Howard (Tyler), Logan Fales (Sara), Wesley Spradley, Heather Bennett, Trevor Spradley (Sara), Zack Bennett, Austin Roundtree, Braiden Rue, and Brently Turner; two great grandchildren, Fletcher Howard and Kolston Fales; a brother, Mike Spradley of Waycross; a sister, Carol James (Curly) of Manor; his mother-in-law, Sally Pearson of Hoboken; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service was held at noon Tuesday, January 24 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Corinth Cemetery in Charlton County. The family received friends at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
