JOLIET, Ill. — Mr. Timothy (Timmy) Keith Sills, 56, of Wilmington, Ill., for the past 20 years and formerly of Waycross, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2023 at Lightways Hospice of Joliet after an aggresive battle with cancer. Sills was preceded in death by his father, Wybern Cleo Sills, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Linda Darlene Sills of Waycross; a sister, Linda Faye Sills of Waycross; four brothers, Wybern (Buddy) Sills of Waycross, Danny Sills (wife Young) of Keller, Texas, Rubin Sills (wife Tracie) of Blackshear, and James Sills (wife Tammy) of Dixie Union; as well as several other family members. Sills was a graduate of Waycross High School, and he loved playing sports in his early years. He worked for several furniture companies in Waycross, and he was a custodian while in Illinois. Sills attended the Church of the Nazarene, where a celebration of life was held Sunday, April 30, and can be viewed on the church website. A family memorial service will be held Sunday, June 4 at Moore Cemetery in Nicholls with the Rev. David White officiating. Memorialization is by cremation.
