WAYCROSS — Mr. Phillip Bladen, 72, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023 at his daughter’s residence in Waycross following a short illness.
Bladen was born in Ware County to the late John “Boston” Bladen and Ollie Joyner Bladen.
He was a former truck driver, but had most recently been a landscaper. Those who knew Bladen considered him a jack-of-all-trades and a man of few words.
In addition to his parents, Bladen also was preceded in death by his sister, Peggy Smith and her husband, Mike; and a nephew, Jimmy Dean Howell.
Bladen is survived by two daughters, Lena Howard of Waycross and Amanda Kimmel (Ryan) of Waycross; a stepdaughter, Wendy Justice of Blackshear; four grandchildren, Alston “Bubba” Kimmel (Emily Benton), Aryel Kimmel, Daniel Howard and Hunter Howard; his former wife, Lawanda Bladen of Waycross; a brother, John Bladen (Dawn) of Darien; and an uncle, A.J. Joyner (Pat) of Waycross.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorialization is by cremation.
