WAYCROSS — Joseph Anthony “Alan” Marshall, 67, of Waycross died Friday morning, March 24, 2023 at his son’s residence after a brief illness. 

Marshall was born in Waycross to the late Frank Edward Marshall and Mary Mildred Crumbley Marshall, and made Waycross his home all of his life. He was a utility worker for many years for Gilman Paper Company, and in his spare time he enjoyed reloading ammunition. He was a member of Camp Branch Church of God of Prophecy. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Kathy Thomas, and a brother, Arlo Jay Marshall. 

Marshall is survived by his son, Benjamin Lee Marshall (wife Haley) of Odum; two daughters, Amy Perritt of Brunswick, and Haley Marshall of Blackshear; nine grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Williamson of New Jersey; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. 

A graveside service was held Tuesday afternoon,, March 28, 2023 in Oakland Cemetery.
