Roger Hickox WAYCROSS — Roger Hickox, 32, of Waycross and formerly of Jesup passed away suddenly Sunday, March 19, 2023 from injuries sustained from an automobile accident. The Wayne County native was an employee with Clayton Homes and Woody Folsom Automotives. The Alabama “Roll Tide” fan loved to hunt, fish and spend time with his friends. He especially enjoyed spoiling his nieces and a nephew. His grandparents, Martha Farmer, Donald Rollman and Lamar Hickox preceded him in death. Survivors are his parents, Darcie (Charles) Collins of Jesup, Anthony Hickox of Hoboken and Brian Newman of Waycross; sister, Chelsea (T.J.) Sutton of Odum; stepbrother, Randall (Kelli) Collins of Douglas; grandmother, Phyllis Hickox; great grandmother, Waunell Hickox; nieces and nephews, Sophia and Tripp Sutton, Rylee Jean Collins; an aunt, Tammie (Jeff) Nuss; two uncles, Phillip (Melissa) Hickox and Kurt (Nicole) Hickox; as well as numerous cousins. Celebration of Life service will be at 5 p.m. Friday, March 24 at Rinehart and Sons Chapel with Pastor Justin Mitchell officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to services at the funeral home.
