Johnny Dewayne Herndon
WAYCROSS — Johnny Dewayne Herndon, 59, of Waycross died early Saturday morning, March 25, 2023 at his home after an extended illness.
He was born in Cochran, Ga., to the late William Herndon and Sally Jetter Herndon, and he made Waycross his home for the last 10 years. He was a member of Christ Church for the past nine years. He loved God and going to church. He loved spending time with his children and his grandchildren.
Along with his parents, he also was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Taylor and Judy MacKert; and two brothers, George Herndon and Jerry Herndon.
Herndon is survived by his wife, Anita Barbara Herndon of Waycross; a daughter, Shannon Daniels of Waycross; a son, Richard Terry Daniels of Waycross; eight grandchildren; a sister, June Herndon of East Dublin, Ga.; two brothers, Elmer Herndon (Bonnie) of Waycross, and William Herndon (Billy) of Waycross; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Memorialization was by cremation.
