WAYCROSS — Mrs. Freida Jean Spell Bradham, 71, of Waycross died Wednesday evening, August 9, 2023 at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.
She was born in Waycross to the late James Eugene Spell and Linda Woodard Spell.
Mrs. Bradham had made Waycross her home all of her life. A self-sacrificing and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Mrs. Bradham loved her family and any moment she was able to spend with them. She attended Hoboken Baptist Church.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Bradham was preceded in death by her husband of over 38 years, John F. Bradham; and brother, James Eugene Spell, Jr.
She is survived by six children, Cindy Bradham Cooke and her husband, Mark, of Lake City, S.C., LeaShea Doran of Waycross, Johnny Bradham and his wife, Elizabeth, of Blackshear, Avery Doran and his wife, Stacie, of Blackshear, Rick Bradham and his wife, Tonya, of Guyton, Ga., Tiffany Bradham of Longmont, Colo.; eight grandchildren, Megan Cooke, Dylan Bradham, Dustin Stokes and his wife Amy, Aaron Blair, Ally Blair, Gabriel Hernandez, Matthew Bradham, and Dominic Hernandez; four great grandchildren, Gentry Stokes, Kager Stokes, Hayden Thigpen and Mary Ellen Stokes; two sisters, Susan Tanner and her husband, A.W., of Waycross, and Debbie Thomas of Waycross; and numerous nieces and numerous other relatives.
A funeral service will be held today (Saturday, August 12, 2023) at 11 a.m., in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial followed in Oakland Cemetery.
