Allen Lewis Strickland, long-time owner of Lewis Machine Shop in Blackshear, passed away last Tuesday, Aug. 23.
Strickland owned and operated Lewis Machine Shop for over 40 years. The business was located on U.S. Highway 84 near the Alabaha River Bridge in Blackshear.
He had lived in Pierce County all of his life and was a 1966 graduate of Patterson High School.
He loved fishing, hunting, and collecting guns. He was a member of the Church of Christ in Blackshear.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, from the Pearson-Dial Chapel.
