WAYCROSS — Mrs. Aline Carter Neiman, 79, of Waycross, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 13, 2023, at her residence.
Born September 8, 1943 in Blackshear, Mrs. Neiman was reared in Pierce County before moving to Starke, Fla., to live for 30 years prior to moving to Waycross three years ago.
She was a 1961 graduate of Blackshear High School. She had worked as a waitress at the Coffee Kettle as well as The Golden Corral in Waycross. After moving to Starke, Mrs. Neiman went to work for Walmart where she retired as a manager in their Jewelry Department.
She loved to read her Bible, which she did daily. She also loved going to church (Youmans Chapel Baptist Church) and ministering to patients at local nursing homes. Mrs. Neiman also enjoyed fishing when she was able.
Mrs. Neiman was a daughter of the late John Frank and Annie Irene Dial Carter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, David LeeRoy Neiman; a son, Kenny Wishall; three sisters, Pauline Chaney, Waunell Singleton and Aldine Grushewsky; and her brother, Virgil Carter.
Survivors include her children, Sandy (Hardy) Solomon and Kevin (Melissa) Wishall all of Waycross; her stepchildren, Michelle Lemmon of Starke, Fla., Misty Neiman of Jacksonville, Fla., and Michael (Rachelle) Neiman of Shipshewana, Ind.; 10 grandchildren, Andy (Candace), Scott, Jason (Luisa), Ivy, Kris (Kehleh), Jamie, Tiffany (Carlos), Isabella, Natasha (Daniel), and Tiffany; 14 great grandchildren, Logan, Aviana, Dekota, Delileh, Athena, Piper, Reigna, Gabriella, Austin, Alyssa, Andrew, Theo, Raylynn, and Christopher; a great-great granddaughter, Sophia; a sister, Lois Simmons of Blackshear; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services for Mrs. Neiman were held Thursday, June 15, 2023, at the Youmans Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Barnett and the Rev. Jimmy Thrift officiating.
Interment was in the Blackshear Cemetery.
