MANOR — Mrs. Sheila Janelle Steedley, 83, died Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at her residence in Manor.
Mrs. Steedley was born June 24, 1939 to her parents, William Arlie Griffis and Mable Catherine Hayes Griffis.
She was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mrs. Steedley was very multi-talented. She would make wedding dresses, prom dresses and bake cakes. Mrs. Steedley mainly loved to garden and paint.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Steedley was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Hugh Steedley; and a brother, William Arland Griffis.
Mrs. Steedley is survived by four children, Johnathan Hugh Steedley (Kim) of Waycross, Belva Gaye Baxter (Harvie Joe) of Waycross, Steven Antonio Steedley (Cheryl) of Manor and Tammis Steedley of Manor; four grandchildren, Ben Baxter of Japan, Callie Cooper (Myles) of Waycross, Steven Michael “Beaver” Steedley (Stacey) of Waycross and Peyton Courson of Manor; six great grandchildren, Weston Cooper, Charlee Cooper, Haley Rigdon (Josh), Colby Steedley (Jena), Caitlin Steedley and Jacob Steedley; two great-great grandchildren, Jarrett Rigdon and Brynlee Grace Steedley; two special family members, Lana Johnston (Jimmy) and Toby Britt; and a special family friend, Debra Wilson of Bluff Island.
The family will be receiving friends from 5 until 7 p.m. today (Saturday, June 3) at Music Funeral Home
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.
