Carole E. Bagley Davis

WAYCROSS — Carole E. Bagley Davis, 77, of Waycross died Sunday morning, June 11, 2023, at the Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.

Mrs. Davis was born in Alma to the late Orvil Troy Bagley and Opal Jeanette Carter Bagley. She made Waycross her home most of her life.

Mrs. Davis worked and retired from the Ware County Board of Education as the managing nutritionist at Waresboro Elementary School. She enjoyed the flowers in her garden, going to the movies with friends, spending time with grandchildren, crafting and crocheting. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis also waspreceded in death by a son, Gregory Steven Davis.

She is survived by her husband, Orbie Davis, Jr. of Waycross; two children, Yolanda Harris (husband Randall) of Waycross, and Troy Davis (wife Cindy) of St. George, Utah; eight grandchildren, Dara Lanier (Billy), Harlee Harris, Kalee Corbitt (Avery), Tyler Davis (Bill Bowles), Ben Davis, Justin Davis (Winter), Emily Davis, Adison Davis; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby Ray Bagley (Carol) of Jacksonville, Fla., and Benjamin Troy Bagley of Jacksonville, Fla.; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday, June) at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Waycross. Burial will follow  at 12:30 p.m. at Little Utah Cemetery in Axson, Ga.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m., Tuesday at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
