WAYCROSS — Mrs. Mary Nell Clark, 87, passed away Monday, July 10, 2023, at her son’s residence in Waycross following an extended illness.
Mrs. Clark was born in Douglas to the late Harvey P. Harrell and Lillian E. Robbins. She was an office clerk for Judge Marcus Sweat, Sr., in the Ware County Probate Court and was a member of Gilchrist Park United Methodist Church. Mrs. Clark also worked as a volunteer with Hospice Satilla for 12 years and the Ware County Board of Elections for six years.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Clark also was preceded in death by two daughters, Susan Justice and Beth Doty; and two brothers, Jerry Harrell and Herschel Harrell.
She is survived by her husband, Robert S. Clark, Sr. of Waycross; three sons, Robert S. Clark, Jr. (Teresa), Ricky D. Clark, Sr., and Randy L. Clark, all of Waycross; 13 grandchildren, Michael Howard (Heather), Chad Howard (Katie), Brandon Doty (Lindsey), Ashley Doty, Ricky Clark, Jr. (Patty), Chris Clark (Jessica), Madison Crosby (Charlie), Sean Clark (Bess), Jill Clark Smith (Kelly), Lee Clark, Bradley Justice, Bethany Justice and Will Justice; numerous great grandchildren; and a sister, Virginia H. Blocker of Flagler Beach, Fla.
A funeral service was held Friday, July 14 at the Gilchrist Park United Methodist Church. Burial followed in Kettle Creek Cemetery.
