BLACKSHEAR — Mrs. Shirley Lee Allgary, 81, of Blackshear, died Saturday morning, December 17, 2022, at Memorial Satilla Health after a brief illness.
Mrs. Allgary was born in Sebring, Fla. to the late Cornelius A. Lee and Gladys McCall Lee. Living most of her life in Dahlonega, Ga. and Jacksonville, Fla., she moved to Blackshear in 2017. Mrs. Allgary was a loving and dedicated housewife and member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Along with her parents, Mrs. Allgary was preceded in death by her daughter, Rebecca Allgary; her grandson, Maximillian Ryan Allgary; and three brothers, Robert Lee, George Lee and Caroll Lee.
Mrs. Allgary is survived by her husband of 61 years, David Allgary of Blackshear; six children, Marceia Allgary, Debra Nolan, Linda McDonald and her husband, Keith, Valerie Arrowood, Ivan Allgary and Robert Hilton Allgary; 13 grandchildren, Rachael Nolan, Sarah Evans, Alisha Nolan, Victoria Bullard and her husband, Wayne, Keith McDonald, Jr., Dustin Goodie, Lilly Allgary, Grace Allgary, Cheyenne Arrowood, Julia Allgary, Geneva Allgary, Isabella Allgary and Sebastian Allgary; five great-grandchildren, Autumn, Madison, Alyssa, Bentley and Elara; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service was held Tuesday, December 20 in Oakland Cemetery.
