WAYROSS — Mr. Tony David Roberson, Sr., 61, of Waycross died early Monday morning, December 19, at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness. He was born in Waycross to James David Roberson and Jeanette Roberts Roberson. Mr. Roberson had made Waycross and Blackshear his home for his entire life. A master carpenter, he worked for Bucky Thomas Construction and ScotBilt Homes. He was a member of Pebble Hill Baptist Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was preceded in death by his father, James David Roberson, and his nephew, Ronney Gordon.
Mr. Roberson is survived by three children, Butch Roberson of Waycross, Britney Roberson (Jim Anderson) of Waycross, and Blake Roberson of Waycross; three grandchildren, Holt Roberson, Coraline Roberson, Mackenzie Anderson; his mother, Jeanette Roberson of Waycross; one sister, Melinda Mae Gordon of Waycross; one brother, Kenneth Roberson of Waycross; his former wife and mother of his children, Lisa Roberson of Waycross; one nephew, Chad Justice; and numerous other relatives.
A funeral service was held Thursday in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in High Bluff Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
