Stanley F. McDonald

WAYCROSS — Mr. Stanley F. McDonald, 89, died Saturday afternoon, December 17, 2022, at Baptist Village Retirement Communities.

McDonald was a native and lifelong resident of Ware County where he labored as a self-employed farmer. He graduated from Waresboro High School, and was a member of Pine Valley Southern Congregational Methodist Church. He had a love for the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

McDonald was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Edward McDonald, Sr. and Ethel Ratliff McDonald; his first wife, Suenell Tuten McDonald; and his siblings, Oscar E. McDonald, Jr., Madge Dean, Faye Rozier, Carolyn Keen and Myrtice Kallsen.

Survivors include his wife, Elouise Lee Bruce McDonald of Waycross; two children, Neal McDonald (late wife Mamie) of Waycross, and Pam Beckwith (husband George) of Charlotte, N.C.; grandchildren, Ashley Paulk (Justin), Anna Bennett (Justin), Jennifer Hewett and Megan Henderson; great-grandchildren, Sienna Bennett, Blake Paulk, Ava Paulk, Bode Bennett, Sieley Bennett, Hatalie Henderson, Reese Hewett, and Addison Hewett; step-children, Dottie Bruhn (Darrell), Cathy Nix (Chris) and James Bruce (Maggie); eight step-grandchildren and four step-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Betty McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, December 21) at Second Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Kettle Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday beginning at 1 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Pine Valley Southern Congregational Methodist Church or Second Baptist Church in Waycross, Georgia.
