Edmund Charles Inman

UNDATED — Edmund Charles Inman, Jr., 70, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022.

Edmund was born in Waycross to Helen Henderson Inman and the late Edmund Charles Inman, Sr. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Joshua Edmund Inman, and a younger brother, Christopher Joseph Inman.

Edmund was a graduate of Central High School in Macon, Ga., class of 1971. He was a member of the Wesleyan Drive Baptist Church in Macon.

Edmund was an “over the road” tractor trailer driver. He traveled over the 48 states and locations in Canada. His wife’s family owned the carnival company, Amusements of America, where he was employed for many years. He built his own concession business and traveled with his family and the carnival until their children reached school age. Edmund later went back to “over the road” driving and retired from C&A Transportation in Macon.

Edmund was a loyal supporter of the University of Georgia Bulldogs and an avid NASCAR fan. He enjoyed Southern Rock, Bluegrass and Country music. His favorite pastime was listening to and telling stories with his friends and family. He was a devoted and caring son, husband, brother, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Henderson Inman, brother Michael Glenn Inman, and his children, Kacie Marissa Mangler (Todd), and Gregory Christopher Inman (Jessica), granddaughters Marissa, Gianna, and Charlotte Mangler and Jordan and Lillian (Lily) Inman.

He also is survived by his former wife and best friend Adrienne Vivona Inman. His family resides in Florence, S.C. where Kacie is a school teacher and Todd is a Deputy Sheriff. Greg continues to work for Amusements of America and also runs the family concession business that was started by Edmund and Adrienne, who is now retired. Jessica is a work from home mother who oversees the concession business. She joins Greg on the road during the summer months.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 11, at Zenith Baptist Church, 3780 Camp Branch Road in Manor. The family will greet friends following the service and lunch will be served in the church fellowship hall. Dress is casual.
