In keeping with traditions from years past, the Waycross Journal-Herald will be closed Thursday-Friday, November 24-25, for the Thanksgiving holidays so employees can celebrate with their families.
There will not be a weekend edition for November 26, but rather a combined edition for Wednesday and Saturday.
“We were unable to find a printer open the day after Thanksgiving to handle the (weekend) job,” said Head Publishing LLC owners Rick and Sandy Head. “We hope you find sales of our local merchants in the Wednesday edition.”

The newspaper office will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, November 28. Obituary deadlines will be noon on Monday, November 28 for the Wednesday, November 30 newspaper.
