DIXIE UNION — Mr. James Sills, 71, of Dixie Union, passed away Friday, September 30, 2021, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross after a brief illness.
James was born February 15, 1951, to the late J.D. Sills and Dicie Sills. He was born and raised in Dixie Union where he lived his entire life. He graduated from Ware County High School, and worked for Guerdan Mobile Homes, Scott Mobile Homes, the Walmart Warehouse in Douglas, and retired from Ware State Prison as a correctional Officer.
Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by one stepson, Gary Johnson; and one grandson J.D. Suggs.
He is survived by two daughters; Lisa Griffith of Sebastopol Mississippi, and Olivia Flautt of Union Mississippi; one stepson, Alex Johnson of Dixie Union; three grandchildren, Justin Hendrick, Brittany Bryan, and Travis Bryan; and one brother, David Sills and wife, Barbara, of Dixie Union.
