Evelyn Aldrich Sears

PATTERSON — Mrs. Evelyn Aldrich Sears, 85, of Patterson, passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Harborview in.

Born in Waycross on September 13, 1937, she had lived in Pierce County most of her life. Mrs. Sears was retired from Transco Cap Company. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking cakes for friends and listening to gospel music. Mrs. Sears had been a faithful member of Laura Chapel Baptist Church.

She was a daughter of the late Ivey and Juno Strickland Aldrich. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Rupert Donald “Buck” Sears.

Survivors include her three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Freddie Teston of Patterson, Debbie and Jim Reagan of Rohnert Park, Calif., and Jeanette and Ricky Boatright of Blackshear; her sister, Inez Johnson of Patterson; a brother, Tommy Aldrich of Patterson; five grandchildren, Greg Teston, Jenifer (Manny) Jimenez, Ray (Amy) Teston, Kimberlie Cardenas, and Nikki (Jamie) Crews; 14 great grandchildren, Anthony Reagan, Alicia Reagan, Landon Teston, Alexandria Reagan, Beau Teston, James Reagan, Brian Reagan, Shianne Reagan-Damian, Angel Cardenas, Isaiah Cardenas, Elijah Cardenas, Peyton Crews, Savanah Cardenas, and Paisley Crews; a great-great grandchild, Aleah Reagan-Damian; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sears were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 26 from the Laura Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryan Gill, the Rev. Daniel Harris, and the Rev. Adam Walker officiating.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pearson-Dial Funeral Home.

Interment was in the Laura Chapel Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Mark Griner, Terry Johnson, Buddy Griner, Jack Tyre, D. F. Kimbrell, Randy Tyre, and Jonathan Todd.

Honorary pallbearers were Roseanne Todd, Larry and Linda Hill, Terry and Mary Nell Herrin, and Jerry and Winona Walker.
