Audrey Ann Wilson

WAYCROSS — Audrey Ann Wilson, 64, passed away on August 29, 2022, in at Satilla Hospice House after an extended illness.

Mrs. Wilson was born April 28, 1958, in Atlanta to the late Joyce Burt and Glen Price. She and her younger sister, Melody, were raised by their grandparents, the late Frances Palmer Steele and A.J. Steele, also of Atlanta.

She married Lewis Wayne Wilson on March 15, 1978, and gave birth to their son, John Paul Wilson, on March 13, 1982. Mrs. Wilson was a homemaker and an employee of the Walmart Supercenter in Waycross for 25 years until retiring in 2020 due to health complications.

Some of her favorite hobbies included stamp collecting, arts and crafts, reading, listening to music (especially Christmas music during the holidays), and playing and spending time with her beloved toy poodle, Chubbles.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Burt, and her father, Glen Price; her grandparents, Frances Palmer Steele and A.J. Steele. Survivors include her husband, Lewis Wayne Wilson of Waycross; son, John Paul Wilson, also of Waycross; two sisters, Melody Price Vance of Alabama, and Joyce Thompson (spouse John Trammell) of Dahlonega, Ga.; nieces and nephews, Joey Price of Alabama, Emmanuel Ramos, Desiree Womack (husband Travis Womack), and Caezar Ramos of Dahlonega; an aunt, Bertha Steele Stanfill (husband Larry Stanfill) of Randleman, N.C.; and cousins, Brian Brown of Macon, and Tina Howard and Rhonda Stanfill of North Carolina.
