Mrs. Sabrina Minix Sears, 59, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, September 3, 2022 at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross.
Mrs. Sears was born May 7, 1963 in Douglas to the late J.L. Minix and Johnice Taylor Minix. She was an active member of Zenith Baptist Church in Manor.
Mrs. Sears loved her family with all her heart. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. They held a very special place in her heart. She had a song for each one of them.
Her girls meant the world to her. Mrs. Sears would talk to them most everyday. She loved her friends and music friends like family. Lastly, she had a love like none other for her husband, Tommy.
Mrs. Sears loved a good BBS Concert and loved time with her family. She will be truly missed by so many.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Sears was also preceded in death by her father-in-law, Oscar Sears, Jr.; and her brother-in-law, Paul Sears.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Sears of Millwood; two daughters, Erika Jones (husband Jason) of LaGrange and Kimmy Hickox (husband Brett) of Blackshear; five beautiful grandchildren that she loved dearly and were her whole world, Mackenzie, Kaitlann, Colt, Knox, and Rhian; a sister, Gail Kirkland (husband Jimmy) of Nicholls; three brothers, Henry Taylor (wife Peggy), Don Kinard, and Bruce Kinard all of Douglas; her mother-in-law, Rena Mae Sears of Millwood; two sisters-in-law, Angel Murray (husband George) of Millwood and Norma Jean Carmichael of Waycross; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Telmore Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made in Mrs. Sears’ name to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA 31501.
