Mary Juliette Outlaw Capshaw Neftal

WAYCROSS — Mrs. Mary Juliette Outlaw Capshaw Neftal, 94, died Monday morning, October 10, 2022, at Baptist Village Retirement Communities after an extended illness.

She was born in Wrightsville, Ga., but she lived most of her life in Waycross. Juliette graduated from cosmetology school and went to work with Mrs. Willis at the Ware Hotel. Shortly after going to work at the Ware Hotel, she opened and operated Juliette’s Beauty Salon for many years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church where she once taught children’s Sunday School.

Juliette was preceded in death by her parents, John Outlaw and Nina Wood Outlaw; her second husband, Harry “Steve” Neftal; her first husband, William A. “Bill” Capshaw, Jr.; grandson, Victory Capshaw; and she was the last of six siblings.

Survivors include two children, Andy Capshaw (Sue) of Waycross, and Joe Capshaw of Jacksonville, Fla.; two grandchildren, Lyn Rowland of Severna Park, Md., and Robbie Capshaw of Blackshear, and granddaughter-in-law, Samantha Capshaw of Waycross; three great grandchildren, Will Jones, Sarah Rowland and Natalie Rowland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. today (Saturday, October 15) at Greenlawn Cemetery.
