WAYCROSS — Annabelle Howington Hendrix, 94, passed away Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in Baptist Village.
She has lived in Americus, Ga. for the past 62 years. She was married to James Curtis Hendrix, who passed away in 2004. They had been married for 58 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church in Americus.
She was the daughter of the late J. W. Howington and the late Zetta Mae Howington of Hogansville, Ga. She also was preceded in death by her brother, Buddy Howington, and her sisters, Marylee Dollar, Margaret Littlefield, and Linda Craft.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Curtis Anthony Hendrix and Dina Espinoza Hendrix of Waycross, and one grandson, Dr. Anthony Hendrix, II, of Providence, R.I.
A private family service will be held at the Andersonville National Cemetery where she will be buried with her husband. The officiating minister will be her son, Dr. Anthony Hendrix, an ordained Southern Baptist minister.
