GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Faye Harris Guinn of Gainesville, Fla., and formally of Waycross, passed away September 16, 2022, at her home in Gainesville after an extended illness.
A former Junior Miss Waycross she was self- employed for more than 30 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovey and George Harris, paternal grandparents Charlie and Rosa Wildes, Lazarus and Emma Harris, Helen Rowland, Shirley Bonenfant and Ronald Harris.
She is survived by three children, Scott and (wife Christine) Petty of Gainesville, Alisa and (husband Mike) Novack of Nashville Ga., and Randy Petty of Dothan, Ala.; Siblings, Johnny and (wife Carolyn) Harris, Benny Harris, Jerry Harris, Wayne Harris, Kenny Harris, Martha Mcowen and Arlene Scott, all of Waycross, and Betty and (husband Lamar) Wildes of Brunswick, Ga.; as well as numerous nephews, niece's and cousins.
There will be no public service.
The family requests in lieu of flowers a donation be made to a local place of worship or the American Cancer Society.
She will remain in our hearts forever.
