ST. SIMONS ISLAND — Linda Joy Lewis, 80, of St. Simons Island, passed away Sunday, January 29, 2023 at Magnolia Manor.
Born September 11,1942 to Christine Edwards and Brian Dilworth Berrie in Brunswick, Mrs. Lewis was a lifelong resident of the Golden Isles, and member of the Class of 1960 from Glynn Academy.
She loved to cook and was an excellent homemaker. Mrs. Lewis cherished her family and enjoyed watching it grow.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Avery Lewis.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Susan Coleman Brown of Brunswick and Buddy Coleman of Waynesville; step-children, Robin Lewis of Ackworth, Kevin Lewis of Glennville and Lisa Cook of Brunswick; grandchildren, Allison Underwood, Josh Thrower, Kyle Coleman, Molly Hutchinson and Marlo Hutchinson; great-grandchildren, Jake, Elijah, John and Luke; two brothers, Chris Gendron and Gene Berrie; a sister, Ann Wheeler; and many other loved ones and friends.
Private services will be held at a later date.
Chapman Funeral Chapel & Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
