William (Bill) Mann, 76, entered peacefully into Heaven’s Gates Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Bayview Rehabilitation Center surrounded by his loving family.
Mann was born August 5, 1946 in Rainelle, West Va., the son of the late Walter (Boots) Mann and the late Mildred Jean (Humphrey) Mann.
Mann was a U.S. Army veteran and served his country with honors from 1964-1967 while stationed in Virginia and France. He received an honorable discharge and went back home to West Virginia to work as a coal miner with UMWA. He then worked as an electrician with IBEW Local 508 before retiring.
Mann and his family moved to Brunswick and became members of Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was also a member of the National Wildlife Turkey Federation. Mann handmade Turkey calls titled Sonrise Game Calls, which was his brand, and always had reference verse Romans 10:13 on every call.
He was a devoted father and husband, son, brother and friend. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish Mann’s many memories are his loving wife, Margaret Mann; his daughter Lori Lane (Danny); a son, William Neal Mann (Amy); grandchildren, Nathan Lautzenheiser, Jennifer Burgess, and Anna Martinez; also two great grandchildren survive.
A funeral service to honor Mann’s life was held Monday afternoon, January 9, 2023, in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Darrel Joiner and Rev. Harold Turner officiating.
Active pallbearers were Travis Collins, Robert Thompson, Daniel Adkins, Danny Hardin, Chuck Sellers and Josh Cook.
Honorary pallbearers were Marshes of Glynn Baptist Church Men’s Bible Study group and the Bayview Rehabilitation Staff.
